Emily Monette Perry
Intuitive Life Coach ♥ Energy Healer ♥ Yoga / Meditation / Breathwork Teacher ♥ Founder of Colorfully Conscious
Emily has dedicated her life not only to creating love within herself, but also guiding others toward redefining what self-love really looks and feels like in their lives.
Throughout the last 15 years, Emily has spent her time learning about what it requires to truly love oneself. After studying Psychology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, then moving into a career in the beauty industry and working behind the chair as a hairdresser for 10+ years, and teaching yoga, meditation, and breathwork, as well as tapping into her intuitive gifts as an Energy Healer, Emily realized that it is truly the mind, body, Spirit connection that allows love to grow infinitely within oneself.
After overcoming low self-esteem, crippling anxiety, body dysmorphia, and an eating disorder, Emily knew that it was her path and Divine calling to support others by teaching them that they can overcome all obstacles and love themselves exactly as they are in the present moment.
Emily’s business, Colorfully Conscious, is bridging the gap between inner and outer beauty by creating a safe and supportive space for women to reconnect with their truth. Emily combines intuitive life coaching, breathwork, energy healing, yoga, and meditation with Neurolinguistic Programming techniques and emotional intelligence practices so that her clients remember what it feels like to genuinely love not just what they see in the mirror, but what lies beneath the surface as well. Her mission is to hold space for others to truly embody their’s soul’s greatest calling.
Emily leads one on one and group retreat experiences both virtually and in person, and offers private mentoring for clients as well. Although on pause for the moment given our current global circumstances, Emily has so much fun with her customized AhMAYA Activation Immersions, in which clients experience a weekend of inner and outer healing and transformation.
These immersions begin with a private yoga class, then a visualization exercise, followed by breathwork and a sound and energy healing session. Next, the exterior magic begins, with a hair transformation, makeup application, and sunset beach photoshoot, so that clients get to remember exactly what it looks like for their inner beauty to shine through.
Emily is currently based out of San Diego, California. She loves spending time with her 13-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, Charlotte and you will find her with a new book in her hand almost weekly. She is a forever student and is always actively pursuing obtaining more knowledge. She is an avid traveler, and had planned to live in Madrid for most of this year. After spending 2 months in Spain, and returning to California to see clients (for what she thought would be only 2 weeks), the quarantine began and her return flight to Europe was canceled. She has learned that with change comes great beauty and is taking this as an opportunity to ground and focus on the present moment.
In her workshop for the LOVE Yourself Project, Emily will be sharing a powerful breathing practice with you that will help you release tension from your physical body and reconnect to your inner guidance, or intuition so that you can find more peace and happiness no matter what’s going on in the outside world.
Cultivating Concious Connection: A Breathing Workshop
Part 1: Grounding and Balancing
Coming back into your body through long, deep breathing.
Emily introduces a simple breath practice to cultivate a deeper connection to the present moment. This will be preliminary to her upcoming Live presentation, Cultivating Conscious Connection: A Breathing Workshop
Part 2: Breath of Fire demonstration
To release toxins and strengthen immunity.
Learning to bring awareness to the navel point, increasing the depth and pace of the breath to a powerful Breath of Fire. This breath will increase immunity, release toxins and let go of stagnant energy from inside the body.
Part 3: Breathwork Workshop (recorded)
Connecting to the breath is one of the quickest ways to process emotions, come back to center, and let go of tension in the mind, body & Spirit.
This is a powerfully transformational breathing technique that creates noticeable results in a short time.
What to expect:
Each individual’s experience will be completely unique. You may see colors, images, memories. You may see nothing at all. You could feel tingling or sensations in different parts of your body. Your hands might tighten, arms could lift, or you may be completely still.
You will breathe rhythmically into the belly and chest, through an open mouth, being guided throughout the practice. There will be breath suspensions (holding the inhale and exhale) as well as releasing through sound and movement.
After the active breathing is complete, you get to rest, relax, and receive.
It is recommended to keep a pen and paper nearby so that you can write or draw anything that comes up during the session.
**If you are pregnant, or have high blood pressure, kidney disease, heart disease, asthma, or mental illness, this practice is not advised.
What you’ll need:
- Flat surface to lay on (floor with yoga mat, bed or couch)
- Eye pillow, scarf or towel to block out light
- Blanket (often your body temperature can drop during breathwork)
- Pillow (for under the knees, head will be flat without elevation)
- Any essential oils, incense or candles of your preference
- Journal & pen
